How the calculator works

These numbers are conservative. We use a 30% booking conversion rate for missed calls โ€” industry research puts the real number at 27โ€“35% for emergency service calls, and slightly lower for non-urgent inquiries. The calculation assumes callers who don't reach you will try a competitor next.

Missed calls/month = Calls per day ร— Miss rate ร— Working days
Monthly revenue lost = Missed calls ร— Avg job value ร— 0.30
Annual revenue lost = Monthly loss ร— 12
Net savings = Annual loss โˆ’ ($79 ร— 12)

The 30% conversion assumption is deliberately conservative. Plumbers and locksmiths see emergency call conversion rates of 60โ€“80% โ€” callers with a burst pipe aren't shopping around. HVAC and roofing seasonal leads convert at 25โ€“40%. We use 30% as a fair baseline for mixed call types.

For most service businesses, a single recovered call covers a month of TenFour. The math isn't complicated โ€” it's just usually invisible because missed calls don't show up in your CRM.
